Cheers Alienhead, managed to de-construct my own 7-8 dimensional array and make some representational sense of it in a de-bug earlier this morning - took a bit of unfettling to be fair.

Took some head scratching now and then - thankfully I'm at the time of year whereby the chances to get outside are diminishing, which are not conducive to coding  ;D

Had a brief brake (pad) to refresh the neurons, don't do much car maintenance these days - but tackling physical world problems away from the keyboard can give you a fresh perspective on things!

Whoa! Those caliper's look battle tested !!  lol well done. :)

Derron

Pay attention that he even turned the cardboard box (shipping package) in the right direction!

195000 miles battle hardened!

@Derron, well spotted, the crusty old calipers are getting a touch Fragile in their old age, a bit like me!

So.... I'm aware of the art of the possible.  Can it be achieved with the clock ticking?

I've two parallel elements to my entre' for Compo 15 now (all on the one Windows platform.... unless I've got a week free to address the potential bugs on the Commodore Amiga, of which there are numerous which need to get passed the incubation stage).

Stream 1:  The Game itself
Stream 2:  A Game Level Creation UI

Stream 2 is a bit of an ask with the time constraints, if it can be completed prior to the 20 Nov, productivity would go up. Stream 2 requires a level directory structure to retain raw data for each level. I imagine that if Stream 2 works, even in a 'typical release for major software companies these days', it'll see the light of day before EndEx 4 Dec.

Edited.

Key Logic and basic sounds introduced - the key logic was easier to implement than I envisaged, which is nice.

Implementing it robustly may take another moment.

Well, got some gaming logic resolved before a packed day.

I confess, chances of getting this entre' in are getting slimmer by the day :)

This is one last call for an extension of 7 days (or 10.....) to the deadline. Deadlines are deadlines after all - the amount of folks popping in most excellent entries already..... if they don't mind an extension by 7 days, would the rest mind?

a 10 day extension would (only) take us to the 14th Dec, 1 week of bug fixes.... 4 days left to Chrimbo.

Furthermore, yep i do go on :)

There is an obvious graphical nod of the head to a computer of old that I was (lucky) enough to code on back in.... (er hem) 82/83 ( giving the game away now ).

The later levels of this entry may have to detract from the initial graphical aspirations which will not adhere to the coding platform of my youth.

I suspect this might be my last gaming compo entry, I've enjoyed the (15 !) gaming compos to date. But never say never :)

As Mrs Doyle of Father Ted would say, go on, go on, go on, agree to a 10 day extension.

Don't matter to me, but I'm sure my opinion wont matter much :)

STEVIE G

No objection to an extension here  ;D

Squished a bug which had stopped the first level from working for a week or so....  8)

Ok, so if I waited a week I would have been able to complete the level?

:P

In the six days beforehand, the level was blowing the program away..... Did some investigation, however developing other 'levels' (so to speak) had more appeal. In the interim level '2' became level 1.  :o

Progress had been slow. Real life has some significant commitments which are compromising my entry.

Still... I'll aim to push my 'effort' over the deadline - I mean submit it before the deadline.
