Hello to all,
Hidden Deep is strongly inspired by Aliens and The Thing movie (although that inspirations isn't too visible at the moment - I'm in process of adding monsters)
Below are 2 examples: Promtheus inspired Scan-Ball and Rag-Doll tests
That looks real nice and just my sort of game. Look forward to it's release :)
Very nice. Reminds me of another Blitz 'mine' game - same developer?

Yes - it is the same game but in new incarnation. Mining is changed to sci-fi thriller as a main plot. Machines are still there but they won't play main role.
Cool. I am a fan of both. I hope you complete this one :)
btw do you have a link to the old game?
Very nice so far, look forward to seeing the completed game.
Looks really good! :)
I had a chuckle at the "swallowed by that thing" sound... I just had visions of you screaming into a microphone in the house and the neighbours looking at each other going "What the hell was that?" :D
Dabz
Hehe ;D
Looks cool (And a bit scary.).
It says 2D, so I'm wondering how you're animating the character, particularly the ragdoll animations?

Not me! That kind of stuff would keep me awake at night if I had watched this before bed.
Creepy :D
The animation is perfect!!
Looks good! Are you using Blitzmax + Box2D?
keep it up.
Nice, very nice!
This is an awesome looking game :)
I love the level of effort that's gone into the little details.
Totally agree. So much potential.

Couldn't agree more.

Yes, very nice.
I have been putting off doing anything with ragdoll, but this is quote inspiring.
Seems simple enough on the surface, but definitely requires timing skills to master.
Wondering about what will be found deep inside too, so an element of surprise is certain.
That giant worm was a nice surprise, and those sound effects are spot on man, very nice.
..i like it very much..and even more as its bmx+box2d...side note..if you can, make monsters spit out bones after few seconds..hehehe
EDIT:
Which tool did you use to produce character animation?
Looks very cool!
Awesome! 8)
I usually do not like 2d things, but this one really got me exited and sucked me in right away.
The running vaguely reminds me of 'Impossible Mission' and rope action of 'Pitfall' on the c64 and the eye for detail/timing/sfx of 'Flashback' and 'Another World' on the Amiga.
The animations look very, very natural, the rope, the falling and of course the monsters devouring one of our heros either dead or alive is incredibly well done. Nice touch is that he looses his hat during such an action. ;D
Also the screaming, munching sounds and the blood gushing are well.. fantastic!
Keep it up. Can't wait to see this one finished.
[P.S: The Thing and Alien(s) are among my most fav movies]
