Those both look like great games. I love the 8bit style of mission improbable

Alienhead: How many different "tiles" do you have to construct a level with? if that is how you do it.

3D is just a tiny bit different than the normal way, I actually tried something new myself and saved a lot of trouble. I use 6 prefabbed sections, hall, rooms, turns etc..   then I have pivots where the arch ways go or doors to another room etc..  I then randomly select one of the prefabs and connect the pivots together. I then run a simple AABB check to make sure the 'new' piece isn't overlapping or colliding with anything. If it is then it's removed and that section connector tries another piece. If all the prefabs report AABB intersecting then the connector is consider dead and a wall is put up to kill the path..  Then it moves on to the next pivot connector.

It's actually dead on accurate and very fast.. I can build a 1000x1000 dungeon in less than 20 seconds.  And it would take weeks to play a 1000x1000 dungeon lol... the normal is 200 x 200 which is pretty instant to build.

Fascinating! Thanks for the explanation and good luck to the both of you
