Limitations with Free Version?

Hi guys, I'm looking at switching langauges for a project I'm on with (from AutoHotkey), and one candidate is PB. I can't find on the website a full list of limitations of the free version. I think it says scripts are limited to about 800 lines (which might not be enough, I'm not sure), but I imagine there will be others, like not for commercial use, that kind of thing. I'd like to know this before I spend the time trying it, because I have to think twice about the 79 Euros (minimum) for the full version if and when that becomes necessary.

Also wondering if the length limit can be avoided by using smaller files to chain / switch between...?

And if you write freeware, is that non-commercial use, since it's - you know - free?

I'm also considering BlitzMax, but that seems more OO than PureBasic, and I'm more of a procedural kinda guy.
I'll have you know, I'm coding all the right commands, just not necessarily in the right order.

Limitations: 800 lines of code. No API function calls. No standalone executables.

More than enough to check out if you like the language.

I think you can create standalone executables with the free version, I created some games with it.

I stand corrected. Just downloaded the latest v6 demo and you can create executables. Not sure why I thought it had that limitation. Even checked older versions of the PB website on wayback...but can't see anything suggesting standalone programs were not allowed. Hm...Anyway! Sorry for that!

I'm putting Pure basic on the back burner for a while as ogre needs to be fixed as in Opengl up and running with terrain. This could take some time so am going to stick with AGK studio for now. To be honest I think the 3D side of AGK is better than ogre  .  If you disagree please let me know. Bonjour
