Hi was just wondering how many Pure basic users on syntax bomb . I'll probably ask the same in AGK and we can see which is the most popular at the moment .

I have bought purebasic, twice.

Once, it was long time ago, in a local store. A Box with a CD.
When i wanted to update it, because some of the (online) examples would not run on it ... it could not update ...

Few years later i wanted to do some gui apps ... i bought it, now online directly from the Purebasic creators.

Some of the old (online) examples would not run without errors, and an update was in the works ... (with an indication of more non working things) nah thanks

I found AutoIt 3 and installed it ... using it for the gui thing, since.

Yes I get it I'm still waiting for OpenGL to be fixed . If they do that I will be happy . 4 months wait so far .
Another plus is the c backend as I'm hoping my games can run on android in the near future but I'll guess we'll see

I am using PureBasic since 2003 as a professional programmer (systems and applications programmer, Linux administrator and Hyper-V and VMware administrator) and for my private use. I have programmed for my employer hundreds of applications and tools which are often still in daily use without any problems. I have also programmed recently Hyper-V, VMware and vCenter GUI tools for a huge datacenter. I have built the GUI with PureBasic and the evaluation scripts with PowerShell and the PowerCLI and HPEiLO cmdlets. Several applications are cross-platform and are running in Linux, MacOS and Windows.

You are right in that several examples may not work in the current PureBasic version. If you find one, please post the name of the non-working example in the PureBasic bug forum, so that the example will be fixed.

Another possibility would be to try to run the example in an older PureBasic version. You are able to load every PureBasic version beginning with the first one (PureBasic 2.00 from 17th December 2000) when visiting the PureBasic museum: signin with your PureBasic account, scroll down and click onto the "museum"-link.
