Not really, more like Apple 1 - Epic 0.5   ;D

However, she also wrote that Apple had "chosen to act severely" by threatening to block the Unreal Engine, which is widely used by others.

Epic signed a deal so they were always going to lose that one, there again Amazon seem to have a 'special deal' with Apple, so why not the same deal for everybody?  Threatening to kill the Unreal Engine was spiteful.

As someone who's used Unreal engine as a free resource, I think it's pretty cruel to take that away from people. I'm leaning towards Epic here.

Apparently a judge has ruled that Apple cannot deny Epic access to their developer account or any technology that third-parties rely on.

Apple can deny whoever it wants from its store in exactly the same way a business can refuse to serve a customer if it chooses.   Epic is no more than a wealthy customer really.

If the store sells essential stuff for a living this right is shallowed (at least in Germany).

And so it could be be for almost monopolies.

For the time being. A judge has stated that Apple can remove applications that break their terms of service from the store, but cannot stop access to a developer accounts, or access to tools. Especially if that developer writes third-party libraries that other Apple developers use. If they did, then Apple would basically be shooting themselves in the foot with the amount of changes that they keep doing with practically every OS update.
