What are you getting yourself for Xmas?

I'm getting a VR set, If I can squeeze finances somehow, I was thinking a second hand quest 2,

Xerra

I really wanted to play Diablo 4 and Starfield properly so I bought myself this:

ACER Nitro 5 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7, RTX 3050, 1 TB SSD

I had Diablo 4 on the PS5 but hated playing it on console. Starfield is an Xbox exclusive, so it was either get one of those (Why?!?!?) or just have a PC for things like that. I went for a laptop instead of a desktop PC to save on both desk space and also I can use the laptop if I travel.

M2 Pro Mac mini - 16GB 512 SSD
ACER Nitro 5 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7, RTX 3050, 1 TB SSD
Vic 20 - 3.5k 1mhz 6502

Ah my brain still stuck in literal mode, that's what I thought it was, silly me ... a Novel bike as in 'interesting, new or unusual.'
Certainly not a common motorbike brand I'm aware of, will be looking into that. Christmas is looking to be a fun time all-round this year.

Oh my God I wanted a ZX Next since I seen them, but I would only buy from a retailer , because I cant be in for deliveries and PO is miles away. and I like to trust where I buy from. but my dream is they sold on amazon, I would buy one. but they only do small batches.

but I think the way they jave deved the Next is great would bring back good old days, instead of lightweight shells . the Next looks like they used to be

Nothing. Neither do I hand out a gift to my wife. Just the kids receive stuff (from santa - not us :-) ).
We are old enough to buy things we want when we want them - not just during christmas time (...not to talk about prices).

bye
Ron

RemiD

a bitcoin, maybe, depending if it is on 'clearance sale' ( when people panic and sell ) :))

They'll never be retail because the price would be extortionately expensive. It's ok sticking an emulator in a box with a cheap SBC like the C64 Maxi, but the Next is so much more and a quality product with a comprehensive thick manual just like the good old days. In some ways the Spectrum Next is like an 8-bit Amiga and the manual goes into detail in later chapters on how to harness those features - even from BASIC.

The Next Team work non profit and don't have a massive company behind them, so have to receive money upfront via Kickstarter. I actually bought a KS1 Spectrum Next from Ebay while I waited for my own KS2 version (it just has some tweaks internally and a new manual). There are also the clone boards like the N-Go.

Cool, have you got any games yet, especially physical games? I've got a nice collection and some more on the way like the Next version of "The Way Of The Exploding Fist".  8)

My keyboard arrives tomorrow apparently. And the Fantom is still Roland though isn't it, all-be-it a more expensive version?
