I know he's had a good innings but this guy made my teenage years with the Daredevil & Spiderman comics. Endless amusement in later years with all his Marvel films Cameo's. Legend R.I.P
Just saw him a bunch of times these days (wife wanted to watch the movies "before avengers 3" - which we watched 2 weeks ago). Watched Ant-Man 1&2, Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2, Dr. Strange - guess what, I knew them already.
Not the best fantasy, sci-fi, ... but still some popcorn cinema.
Thanks.

Oh just saw it on IMDB... sad times
Rest in Peace, Mr. Lee. You were a legend.
Blimey! hopefully they'll do a good tribute somehow in the next Avengers film.
The hard as it sounds: think the film makers "squeezed" the cameos in. They were there for the pure sakeness of "needs to be there as it always was there". In earlier movies his sequences were sometimes a bit cheesy but at least "funny". The last ones were...uhm yes, let's say "skippable". The guy was 95, there was no need to bring him in front of a camera (ok, he might have enjoyed it).
Google suggested me a news today, that the stan-lee-scene of avengers 4 was filmed already. But I think there might be something "more" - some "tribute thing" (eg a poster in the background of a scene or so). This would be a "fan service" and brings in "sympathy" for the producers/marvel. And these Marvel films allow for such "fun stuff" which a Star Wars could not do for Carrie Fisher ("serious movie").
Also nice is that he died in an "high fly" era of his company and the created-by-him characters. He died in the knowledge of millions of people cheering what he created - think there is worse life experience.
