Yes, I have read the topic before the newsletter and decided not to make a fuss about it, but name calling is below the belt and so I thought of bringing this up here..

Something wrong with that? Most websites today does this (WordPress = MonkeyCoder.co.nz, SMF = SyntaxBomb, etc) and the forum is built from the ground up using a code framework, not off the shelf like you imagined and is constantly under heavy modifications. We got emojis like github shorthand now..

The name calling seems unnecessary, but I'm not gonna stoop down to his/her level of name calling with this Jayenkai guy. I know he/she's well-known to you guys and the bias is huge on this one, so this will be the last time that I will be bringing this topic and I don't want to keep some of these thoughts to myself.. it's unhealthy, at least for me.

I appreciate the publicity though (good or bad) by putting the blitzcoder.org site at his/her newsletter.

At least I'm getting a fairer treatment here, even though I'm almost unexpectedly banned a few weeks ago for some unknown reason ( Thanks Qube!  )

It's not even months, and this is not a full-time job so I don't think patience is in his/her vocabulary..

Thanks Rooster. No, that slipped by so I guess that will be the case, but same as Qube, I don't treat it as a competition. not even crossed my mind.

He can throw any hard hitting insults on the site, I don't care that's why I am quiet about it until this name calling thing, just don't take it personally.. that's all.

Lol, you got accidentally banned because we were / are getting a lot of spammers from the email domain @yandex.com. I assumed that it was just a spam domain and blanket banned the lot but I guess not as your email address is also a @yandex.com one. Luckily you were not banned for long - My fault, nothing to see, move along people.

Just do what you want to do. If it works out then great. It if it doesn't work out then at least you'll not have to go "I wonder what would of happened if..."

Hey, glad we're on the same page Qube, thanks. Actually, my tolerance for online insults is quite high and I don't mind, but this name calling is something I would not let slipped by, at least it should be known for the record. It's really not worth fighting over or having any competition as I'm doing this if time permits, really enjoy doing it and so I'm glad to have a few on board now, really appreciate it.

Thanks ah yes, yandex.com is or was actually a good mail service, I have no problems using it. I got it recently as to separate my personal email with other forum, site registration and membership stuff, so I know what I'm expecting on my inbox with these separate emails.

Just saying in general it's not a bad thing to have off-the-shelf solutions and it's actually practical (I don't know why Jayenkai guy brought that up) but good to know you got the chat working here, awesome

Just to clarify, this is nothing to do with BRL as much as it is the beloved community website Blitzcoder.

I make no comment on the rest.  Just wanted to clarify that bit.  (I do think the name-calling was a bit harsh)

Jayenkai is not a bad guy. He can swear sometimes though

He also has the agameaweek website.

I'm with Paks, he's a good lad really, yeah, he swears a bit and that (Dont we all?), but overall, he's had a lot to deal with in real life, and still is really, granted it's not an excuse, but, we can all get a little quirky sometimes... I think that's just what happened there..

He wouldn't of meant it personal I dont think, just wrong choice of words if you ask me.

I visit both boards, and love them equally, anywhere where I can settle in and talk tech and nonsense amongst old coding friends who've in most part have been around since I first bought my BUID alll them years ago, it's comfy see! And it's equally good seeing new avatars as well!

Anyway, yeah, that's just my thoughts on it, like I said, I wouldn't take the comments too seriously!

Sounds more like a jerk.  Just ban him.

I was actually banned from socoder when somebody told me to fuck off!  Yes, it's very clicky there, and even though I was being attacked about something I was working on, and I responded with sarcasm - I was the one banned!!  Because the person had been there longer I guess.  He wasn't banned, even though he was doing all the attacking and swearing.  So I wouldn't go there again even if I was unbanned.
