sbasicg window no longer shown
« on: August 20, 2021, 13:48:33 »
A very strange and annoying behavior: since today morning, all my SB programs launched with sbasicg.exe
stay in running mode until killed (I see them as icons in the Window taskbar) but their main window is not shown...
Nothing changed since yesterday (Windows version, ecc.).
Even running sbasicg.exe has the same behavior.
The version is 12.20 as downloaded from SB github.

Any idea?

Sometimes the settings.txt file for sb looses window width and height. In ...user/AppData/Roaming/SmallBASIC

This is my first line there that will give you a window size to rework to your preferences:
67,38,1291,725,120,0,1,0

PS I keep taskbar along left side and on my laptop the sb window is just inside that frame all around.
Also advise keeping window max'd.

A very good suggestion!
Changed the first line and...it works again!

What does the file contain when it's corrupted? If there's some simple way to validate the dimensions, I could make it revert to default values.

There is some move you can make in Windows that on a blue moon causes sb to 0 out height and width setting, causing a window of no size to be displayed.

@chrisws Maybe just check that the setting has some min values before using them else use a min set.
