Got this one done just before the end of the year. I'm happy I can say that I released at least one game this year as a result.

Revenge of the Quadra is based on the 1984 Vic 20 (+8k expansion) version that I loved playing as a teenager. It won't hold your attention forever but it was a brutal, fun blast on the Vic 20 back in the day. Anyone who's played my Gridrunner/Matrix hybrid that I released last year will know that I love these types of games

Next game is absolutely not going to be a shoot-em-up but it's going to take a while to do. Then I might go back to the Vic 20 again for more inspiration.

This is a fun as heck game man, I've added it to my batocera standing arcade cabinet via wine.

Congrats on the release, will have to give it a try. 

And hey stop talking about arcade cabinets, I've been trying to resist buying one for ages! 

Already started work on my next game yesterday. I'm getting too slack at knocking games out these days, and this one is going to be a much bigger project. No stopping unless that slacker Qube gets another competition on the go

The original was murderous. At least I started you off easy. Not sure I ever got beyond level 3 in that one. I can get to level 6 in one life on mine usually. Give it some more practice.

Oh I like that game. 

Fast, smooth and challenging, a fun little game. 

It was difficult at times to spot the white alien shots though as they came through the white clouds! Make all enemy shots a bright colour IMO.

There are no white alien shots. You get shot at by the droppers that appear every few seconds on either side of the screen, but they don't shoot at you unless you are on the same x-axis as them. Even then it's a 50/50 chance, and their shots are bright green, so you can't miss them.

All the asteroid debris is white, so chances are you're mistaking some of that for projectiles.

If it's all getting too hectic then from level 5 the blob appears in the middle of the screen intermittently. Shoot that enough and you can smart bomb the screen.
