Last year after a huge gap between game I released Lockdown Town

It was a project to support the NHS, free to download and play but you could give to the NHS, you still can but you don't have to and only 1 person did :)

It's on PC, Mac, Linux. when there was no real interest I didn't bother with the tvOS aversion I was doing.

PuttyCAD did the graphics, it went through a few ideas before reaching this.

Hopefully a few of you will enjoy playing it with no need to donate anything.

Take control of an ambulance to pick up patients who have been infected by the virus and quickly take them to hospital. The nasty covidiot germs are floating around the streets but thanks to our special covidium coating on the ambulance you can knock them out of the way to destroy them. Pick up as many patients as you can to try and beat the high score! #StayHomePlayGames

That is absolutely brilliant!

Cheers, I think it's a bit of fun to play with some nice touches, was considering adding extra modes.

It looks fantastic.

The one issue I found was the control of the ambulance a bit tricky, and using mouse to point the camera, rather than some basic follow path vehicle is moving system. Also I think it really needs a blue arrow to point your way back to the hospital, as I couldn't find it to get back there, once I had picked up my patients. Other than that it's a really cool little game.

You probably need to advise Mac users that they need to mark the application to prevent it being blocked because it's from an unidentified developer, however.

sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine <path to game> in a Mac shell window would work. Or they can type that into a shell and then just drag the executable app onto the shell window to put the full path in automatically. All they have to do is enter their login password on the prompt and the game then runs ok.

Good work, and for a good cause. Well done.

Thanks for the feedback, I was a little confused you had trouble with the Mac version I'd tried it on several without a problem of the unknown publisher, I had a look and for some reason the download on itch.io is just the content folder it should just be the Lockdown Town icon and be ready to play, I'll look at uploading it again tonight.

I'll look at adding a camera option, at the moment the controls were designed to be like a third person platform game (without the platforms) so the controls are more direct than steering the ambulance, and the camera as it turns the character stays with the direction, so forwards is always forwards, but I'll see what it's like with a chase camera and give a toggle to select.

I was hoping exploration would be a good way to make it more exciting getting back to the hospital, the arrows show you where the patient is because they could be anywhere the hospital stays at the top, but for a new player absolutely it would be frustrating finding the hospital again, you always start the game there. Maybe I'll add a blue arrow for the first couple of patients saved just so players get used to the map.

Thanks again.
