Hello....I don't use PureBasic. Since I am very curious, I find a lot of details of PureBasic version 6 at their forum.

Amon

I'm using Purebasic6 beta 1 now. I checked my account and I was allowed the beta. I'll report back my findings.

It is nice to hear that the beta test starts!

No, I logged into my account after a long while and found I was part of the beta. I applied a while ago by asking on their forums.

I didn't apply to anything and still got access to the alpha and beta. I think every owner of a PB  license got automatically access

Last time I tried basic with a 6 in the suffix was Visual Basic 6, Mark Sibly showed Microsoft how to deliver a basic language for the masses!

To be fair, my journey was basic 2.1, got a pc in 01 or 02, tried VB6, it was.... Not great. B3D on a demo cover..... Yeah, I know, unsupported now, but, it still compiles!

I tried VB2005 express edition and I really struggled with it . I tried writing a brain training game and I don't think it was the right tool for the job . That was me done for a few years until I found Blitz3D and then the cogs started turning in the right direction . So yeah Blitz3D might be getting on but it set me on the right path. I'm getting on a bit now and although interested in PB6 I don't think I want to start learning it again .
AGK S is where I'm at now and I think it's really very good . Some of it could be improved like a plot() command although there are ways of getting the job done with a little thought like a 1x1 sprite .

I really love Pure Basic it's syntax is so similar to Blitz3d by design.

Pfaber11

I think AGK is very similar to pure basic too . For ease of use I prefer AGK although PureBasic would be my second choice.

I bought it 2 years ago when they had a sale going on. It came with a ton of documentation, examples, and even I think some videos. Correct me if I'm mistaken but does it allow for easy compiling to different platforms? I haven't used it since then, this was around the same time I first I tried Pure Basic.

Using windows I can compile for windows and Android and I also use linux and compile for that also. If you want to use mac and ios then you need a mac and an Iphone .
