Could somebody please tell me how to use the OgreAssimpConverter and I did have it working but have forgotten how to make it work. Thanks for reading.

DK_PETER made a frontend for OgreAssimpConverter to make it easier to use. Why not checking it out? The dropbox links are still active.

Hi that frontend for OgreAssimp works good . Works well with the terminal too . The reason none of it was working is I reinstalled windows and I needed to reinstall Directx 9.0c and DXSDK_june10 . With both of these installed Ogre meshy and ogre assimp converter work fine . Took me a while to sort this so thought I would put it here in case I forget in the future . Had this for a couple of weeks now and it is going ok . The PB forum is pretty slow if you require help although the built in documentation is good . This may not be the first time I have used PB but it has been a couple of years since I last did anything meaningful with it . The directx  thing set me back for a few days 
might of been a week not sure but it was a pain . I tried using blender with blender to ogre and then using OgreXMLConverter to convert the file to ogre mesh however I prefer ogre assimp. Have a nice day.
Just thought I should add I have excellent success with ogre assimp but using blender2ogre not many of my models would work properly or would convert.
