I've never typed on an Amstrad that I can remember, and bare-in-mind Sugar was a tight arse I doubt I was missing much lol...But whatever computer you remember most fondly is usually your fave. Mine was a Spectrum and that had a crap keyboard
I still love the 6128 layout from Amstrad, but, yeah, thats me being biased... I'll not lie, its what I used the most. But do agree, the big chunky clicky click of the keyboard was great!
I remember Lunar Lander on the BBC, that was a playground fave, speechmaster thingy, a lad called Wilson put |speech,"Mr Giles is a shit", and hit enter, the exact moment Mr Giles walked through the door... A trip to the head teacher and detention for his opinion! Funny that
Oh well done, a pristine 1 will set you back £600 for the computer alone these days, muppet lol. Mine was a lot cheaper than that but still in good condition.
Found one left in a cupboard in a house I bought some years back, plus a Microvitec monitor. Was so pissed off with that and the garage full of rubbish the previous owner left, I hoyed the lot out of an upstairs window.
@Mike - She's 10 years old and has bladder cancer ( TCC ). She has chemotherapy every 3 weeks. As this can reduce the white blood cell count she's susceptible to infections for a while. Lucily she's her usual nut ball self 95% of the time.
