  • Downloads maybe, but I have a suspicion that people on their mobile devices want everything for free.

  • I recently had a sale on all my games and I had as many downloads for Android as I did windows . This was on itch.io  . So I won't be dismissing Android any time soon . I don't bother with linux or mac though.

  • There's something of politics too, even if your custom/alternative engine can do cross-platform, sometimes it's easier to get a publisher on board if you're using something popular like Unity. Also because you can send them the project files and another team takes over the porting to consoles etc. -- this happened to a friend of mine and their project

  • It's a happier path.  I'm pretty much a 2D guy, but put a ton of work into learning some 3D techniques - because I thought the engine was extremely flexible, unique and ran like lightening on even slow systems.

  • Haha I just saw this with regards C and C++   C: I have struct variable named Chair. I can sit on the Chair with the function sit().  C++: I have an object of a Chair class derived from the abstract base class Furniture with a virtual method called action() that I override to sit on the chair and it's being managed by the ChairHandler class.

  • It is.  You can even copy files from Windows to MacOS (or vice versa) by flicking the mouse pointer to the edge of the screen, the mouse pointer then appears on the other computer and you can paste it on that hard drive.
