  • I didnt know Hisoft did a C compiler, then, a couple of years ago, I saw it on CPCWiki, and I'll tell you what, I'm sooooo pleased they standardized C as that version was a nightmare, it was a very odd implementation of C, which, I eventually got to grips with, but it was a right mission! :D

  • For the Atari ST I thought Hisoft BASIC was the better language syntax, but the game features of STOS were better.

  • I've got loads of Amstrad CPC 6128 manuals, some are pretty rare as well... I like to keep my eye open on ebay for them as they do turn up occasionally and when they do I'm on them like a vegan at tofu!!

  • Loving these manuals too. When the C64 appeared in Germany, my friend got one. I lent its manual over night, wrote down a small snake game for 2 player on paper. Next day i went back to his house, typed in the code and it worked. Great times. I still have my DB, Blitz3d, Stos and Amos manuals.

  • These kind of "vehicles" have a good acceleration - and if you not dare about the battery you could often tune them for bigger max speed

  • lol...I thinking coding is a fantastic hobby.  You make the machine do your bidding, it comes alive in your hands.

  • I think mostly I think I enjoy conjuring up the logic on how to do something with code, thats the fun for me, I enjoy bug hunting, when I did a match 3 engine I had a terrible bug in there, and it took me donkeys to find it, all the logic looked sound, but when I nailed it, I was like "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS"!!!! :D Hehehe
  • September 19, 2019, 07:20:18 PM
  • Steve Elliott:
  • Haha, I enjoy the fact I've produced all but sound, but it's quite painful at times...Not as painful as what you're describing though lol.

  • Oh I know, but you did say you enjoy it, which, is good! ;) But for me, I'd rather have my bellend cheese grated! :P Hehehe
