...it will be nice if it is still a live..thats for sure..but, me personally, stayed there because of community which was very original and quite different from what i have seen elsewhere...having in mind that most folks i have seen there, already migrated here, makes me feel right at home..after all, as i said, i was there because community, not some aged outdated web site never change..

The look (and feel) already changed quite a bit for it to be more familiar.
You should have seen it when we got here first: plain white walls, the ceiling was hanging down, big letters of graffiti spread everywhere.. There were even signs that a hobo slept in here and in corner there was a half devoured deer. :P
Qube really did a great job. He should post a screenshot of the orginal view.
Takes a little getting used to but you'll feel at home soon after the initial sadness. I'm no longer missing it, especially as "I've turned" to AGK which is really some sort of Blitz3D 2.0 and has a section on the forums here.
Few characters are missing still though. For instance RemiD, Flanker, Guy Fawkes to name a few.. :-\

I did write a Christmas game called "Holiday Swapz". GreyAlien bust a nut as he had a similar match-3 Christmas themed game :P - Mine was more rushed than his as it was just a bit of fun as I fancied doing a match-3 game and it was near Christmas.

In a nutshell - I posted a screen shot of my game in the BB gallery. Grey then made a post about how imitation was the greatest form of flattery ( in regards to my game ). For some odd reason his whole post was like he was the inventor of match-3 and making a game around a theme. There is not a whole heap of scope for a match-3 Christmas themed game. It was like I'd ripped off his proprietary game. He was not too pleased that there was another match-3 Christmas game in the mix. I'll happily admit that his was superior to mine. A year ( maybe two ) later I rewrote it in GLBasic with the aim for selling it on the Apple App Store for iOS. It did pretty well. Not super great, but better than I thought. It was never meant as a game to sell originally but in a spur of the moment thing, I decided to re-write it for iOS. It was removed a while back from the App Store as it was 32bit and Apple only allows 64Bit apps now.
There you go, that's the story of my match-3 Christmas game in a nutshell :P

One issue for me is that I have to use an extension to change the background colour and font.
Black with white text seems to make my eyes fuzzy and gets hard to read after 5 minutes (maybe I should get my eyes checked ;) ), I could never use dark themes.
It's actually white on a grey background, so yes, maybe you should get your eyes tested ;D
Bright white, with black text is awful on the eyes for many, especially if you're coding at night. And a lot of people code mostly at night. Mostly. ;)

Well still it's not easy on my eyes anyway, I gotta use the "Care your Eyes" extension and change the colours to black on a light gray background.
Hopefully Qube will sort something for you.

If it's not already applied then try signing out of the forums and sign in again.
Well it didn't work, although I discovered a weird issue logging back in. I get a "Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again." everytime, not sure if it has anything to do with the theme, but it looks like it's a bug in the simplemachines 2.0.1.4 update. The only way to login now (maybe just for me? not sure) is to view your profile and get the "you need to sign in" screen and then it works when you type the details.

Using the Login Menu button works fine for me, no matter which page is open. But it is a general problem with SMF and this Portal. I see the same problem on other websites too.
