I love it when you catch people tripping up on something, and they pretend to do a little jog as if nowt was the bother. Also, if I'm bored driving, I might on the odd occasion people at the odd random and wave... They always wave back, but I know they'll be thinking "Who hell was that?" hehehe

You have to love it when the weather is icy in the U.K. And numpties walk around looking at their mobile phones instead of the fooking ice patch on the pavement that they are just about to step on.

Well up here, in Durham, back in the day, when 2am hit, that was it, chucky out time! And I still remember old sunday hours opening times, they were shite!

@Dabz you must have been a lightweight. You actually slept in between  going out. Used to just be getting my legs into bed just as the alarm to get up for work went off.

Oh, tell me about it, I'm proper crap at it now like... Once upon a time, out on a Friday, all day Saturday and all day Sunday religiously for the football, coupon on... Maybe during the week if there was a match I wanted to watch. Fooking hell, nowadays, I'm ready for bed at 8pm, whatever the night it is in the week!

I was out on the 30th with the lads, we meet up every year because we tend not to see each other much, the usual now, weddings, Christenings etc About 12 of us, lol, 1.30am, and I stumbled back in just after 11pm... What a complete shift mind! Tuesday wasnt a good day!

If I could solidly work from home, I'd have German Shephard, preferably crossed with a border collie, because that's what my old dog was, Stella, and she just looked like a black wolf! All you ever heard was me going "Stella man!!!", always behind me, always tripping up on her, couldnt watch the TV in peace, but she was lush... Miss her loads!

Well I currently work from home a lot and my wife is semi retired so we have the time. Rescue doggies can be mad, but also soo loving and fun - rather than a new puppy. 

I'd love to have a dog, but, I havent got time due to work, and, it would be unfair for it to be left for so long... Many a time I've spied a cutie of a pup, and I have to force myself to just say no!

lol we have doggie but I'd rather her not barge in a cause some computer damage when we're out so we have a 'safety gate'.  After a few beers I turned the computer off, tripped and took out the gate, I went flying! Ofcourse the sensible thing would have been to have gone onto the landing and turned on the light first, but couldn't be bothered making 2 trips. Luckily I didn't fall down the stairs in complete darkness!

Also Happy Christmas to my Aussie friends on the beach having a Barbbie! ONLY JELAOUS!

What's Framework!?

You might not use "framework" and thus include some library which is a malware indicator (ability to zip, manipulate registry, ...). Feel free to compile some basic app with framework command ...and then add some modules, compile, upload and check .. until you find the culprit.

Currently watching my newly arrived DVD 'The Rubber-Keyed Wonder'. Maybe I should have got the Blu Ray version, but DVD is more retro for the good old Speccy I thought lol.

Just installed malwarebytes and found 19 infections? Re-Booted my system cant even run BlitmaxNG Now!?

Are you getting false positives? Is like, Defender poking it nose in where it isnt wanted on the basis there "might", and I emphasis the word "might" be a threat. If so, it happens to many bits of software that are fine, basically, it's more of a hindrance then an actual help, because what that says to me is basically, it doesnt know itself, but stopping you use the software... Pretty much how a weather man says there is 50% chance of rain... Again, to me, they don't actually know, flip of a coin if you get pissed on... Give me £70k a year and I can tell anyone that!

Open sourcing abandoned projects is 99% of the time the death knell for that product. Too many scream "open source it" and once they see have a tiny look at the source code they either go very quiet or happily prompt others in what *should* happen

Well this is it, but, hate to say it, but look at Max3D, over 100 people in a thread was like "Put it opensource Mark, we'll look after", and he did, but, only two if I recall had the capability of taking over, and they eventually got tired. But that was typical, one minute some user is posting in the beginners section on how to find a tile under the mouse in an isometric tilemap, and the next thing, they are 3D engine Gods!?! Gods of talking shite in the most part, and there's me thinking I'm bad, but I know my limits. Mark knew my thoughts on community based stuff too... Not sure if you saw the monetization topic over on the forum. It all starts bright, chatty and breezy, then it all just gets abandoned, happens ALLLLLLLLL the time! Not to sound negative, but, that's what I see when it comes to this... Like, I hope I'm wrong in fact, totally wrong! Time will tell!!!

Oh it's fine, it was coming along champion, the idea was Mark would hit V1.0 with LibSGD at Christmas, which was the cue that, he was happy, and there would be no more big changes, with LibSGD or Blitz3D... Which would then open the door for me to write some sort of [shoddy] lexer and parser and make auto complete actually live, as in, user defined stuff like types, object (inc members), functions etc etc... That was going to be my special Christmas coding ball ache, but, aye... Anyhoo, I've had a think about it, and... Well, the tool bag is open again and the hammer is out! hehehe

I was interested to see how your IDE was coming along! You could always adapt it to BlitzMaxNG. Just saying like 

Hey Bags... Well, Launchpad was supposed to be a tool that works alongside LibSGD, it was very specific that way... So at the moment, due to the obvious sad circumstances of late, it really isnt viable as a download in it's current form, which at the mo', there is no use for the forums in the current state of play either, that might change, if I decide to do something else with it, or someone takes up the baton for LibSGD, I'll see how it pans out me auld fruit!

I wish people had more perspective on knowing he's actually dead, I think that there's no way of really knowing for sure, I don't care if you've had read it in a nz news paper we have no way of knowing for sure that are even his real name. This is the internet. It's not like anybody of us have known him in person. Anyway in other words I'm kind of finished with online community and things I hope. I'm just alone and online a lot in person. There's more I want to say.

The first thread was derailed by the message about his death. So I renamed it  (as it had a very "then" inapprobriate title). Other threads were created afterwards - If we merge them this will surely merge "by date" ... which can create an odd "chain".

There three threads. In a sense of testaments there could be any number of them without any upper limit. Just thought it would be easier to follow and comment. But also agree with you so either way is super fine with me.

I think theres only 2 threads about Mark's passing, I see your point CA, but - let them stand as individual testaments to the man. I've always fancied going to New Zealand..... no time like the present!

To any MOD, maybe you could merge all the Mark R.I.P. threads into one? Maybe it's better if it's all in one place?

Mark's passing has reminded me how close to that finish line I'm getting. I'm nearly 50. Can't believe how long blitz products have been in my life. Thank you mark for providing tools that allowed me to learn and have fun. R.I.P
