It's ALIVE! - Growing universe program

Hi folks,

I thought I'd share an idea I have for a project.

It is a procedural world generator that runs via a cron job in php with a database backend and grows, and morphs and develops and builds into something unique and fully alive...well in a sense alive...not alive in a biological sense but more alive in the sense like a forest fire - it grows and changes and develops....

I haven't worked out the plan for it yet....but it is the dream project I want to build.

In terms of user interaction - users will be able to observe the world in action and potentially interact by adding little components into it.

It needs to be flexible enough to build a variety of systems within it.

It's merely a concept at this stage....I'm thinking a fantasy world of sorts...something like that....a real living breathing world...that I can develop graphics for over time and the world will grow more and more complex....the php system shuold generate the javascript code for the front end as well....perhaps....or maybe it could simply be data driven and have a complex javascript engine controlling the data.
