purely stand alone - although I use the core in my own projects.

So it's NOT a vst - I wrote the entire audio system from scratch.

QB itself is 16 voice, When I use it in games, I use the first 16 voices as QB import, and another 16 voices for fx. The core is set up to use up as many voices as you want - but 32 is where I usually stop.

Taking the recent Axonite game. The entire soundtrack is a single QB song file plus a single instrument file (I could have used a combined single system file too). Because you can play sections, or songs, or goto different parts, you get very tight control.

The fx are then loaded and played on the higher voices as needed.
