An American company now owning a massively popular CPU (generally used in mobile phones) means Trump will jump all over this and hit all other mobile phone companies bar Apple.  :(

Aren't they producing their own CPU design now which was based on ARM chip designs in the past?

Yep you can licence the api or buy the entire stack. Apple bought the stack and make their own based on the arm
