It's not naff, I'd say. It's more, simple, no code, build yourself a quick low grade FPS.

I signed up/paid for the GameGuru Max beta and have been tinkering with it.

It's more refined than classic and the new engine is a good step up.

NPC automation/voice triggering is interesting - I could see it making a walking simulator with computer generated voiced NPC's pretty easy.
I'm tinkering with doing one and just releasing it on Steam for a couple of bucks.
