Did the UI have handlebars.....?
Noooo, would have made it impossible to play. Hopefully early next week if I have something decent to show then I'll post a WIP screenshot or video depending on how smoothly things go :o

:P Burger Time is perfect, pointless even trying to recreate it.  I only considered it because emulation was a bit rubbish at the time.

burger time? ... well I can ask Rebecca Heineman, she knows a thing or 2 about burgers.
anywho I found what i'm making, It's just a columns style game, I just need to come up with a gimmick for it.
As simple as it is I definitely suck at the math side of puzzlers...crud :-[

Nice @iWasAdam ... I get the feeling your throwing us for a loop again buddy ;D
For now I just got my main engine running, I'll still need to do most of the graphic art.
Not to sure when i'll get the time though.
It's a thing that doe's when it don't..

iWasAdam

looks like I'm on the right track (this time - hehe)

@MediamanX try toning down the background (turn down saturation) and your block graphics will 'pop' more :)
Make the blocks bigger (from the third to 2 thirds) and give them some attitude to really shine \o/

I'll give it a shot,I'm stuck with a 640x480 screen res though the window can be scaled for blind moles like us 8)
Not much in terms screen real estate to be used so art based scaling is limited... darn it. :( but i'll take a jab it, most of the scrolling background will be covered by the "HUD"....given it's still early the entire thing may get a kawaii overhaul from my
niece.

I was sort of thinking something along the lines of:

remember your playing the game not the hud  :o
