Are you still developing for your OUYAs?

I am interested, if you may have an OUYA, or knew somebody who has one, etc ...
I know, the OUYA uses Android 4.1 and only could handle OpenGL ES 2.0, but with some specials like DXT texture format and other DirectX 9.0c thinglies.
Maybe you are developing a game for low spec PCs, that could be ported, or you like the idea of publishing to a "console".

Isn't the OUYA dead or what was it? Yes and no. Some people, fans of the OUYA, figured out a way to have a community server.
So yeah, we all can use our OUYAs like before. And for playing around with some game ideas, I like my OUYA.

Hi,

Thank you, I had no idea there was still an OUYA community. I packed mine away in it's box when the servers went offline.

I don't regret supporting it at all, it was an ambitious project at the time, I personally wasn't a huge fan of the controller, but the compact unit was pretty sleek and I really liked the build quality.

when ever they shutdown the servers on these older and unsupported consoles it makes me realise it is a removal of a piece of gaming history, lost to many, but not forgotten.

Yeah, only online services are a strange thing.
There is a repository
https://github.com/ouya-saviors/ouya-game-data

and a great article about the work-in-progress

So maybe, it could be interesting for you, to re-activate the OUYA and try it out again.
We had a game jam for the OUYA back in December 2019. So there is still an active community.
