I got really happy when i saw another compo was running! I missed the last one due to lots of things happening in life, but this time I intend to join! :D

The theme is interesting. Choosing my own old game might be a bit boring, but I had a few ideas for a sequel to the game I did in the 8-bit wars competition, so I'll probably give that a chance. Best of luck everyone and looking forward to trying many new fun games!

Not sure what's going on with all this COVID-19 madness and what everyones situation is, but....

Hands up who's working on a game for the comp?

I am, but it'd be nice to get a list of who's plodding on with an entry for the comp. You don't have to say what you're doing in case it's a surprise  :P
Mac mini ( 2018 / 2020 ), 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, 1TB NVMe, eGPU Radeon Pro 580 8 GB, LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B 27 Inch
Commodore VIC-20, 1.1Mhz MOS 6502 CPU, 5KB RAM, VIC ( 6560 ) GPU

Until the next time...

Waves.

I dumped last idea as not practical but I've been working on something else over the last week so I can hopefully still make the deadline. I'm going to keep it quiet for a little while until I'm reasonably sure that it has legs. It's got the basic game mostly there now, however, which is a good start as there's still a month to go.

Also I have more time to tinker with it as there's no pubs out there to distract me and I'm working from home indefinitely now which has meant my hours are a bit shorter during the working week :-)

Raises hand.  I got distracted by coding something else, but I'll be back coding for the competition by the 10th, so that gives me a month.   :)

Yay, I was hoping someone would pick up one of mine. Any thing you need to help you do this then don't hesitate to ask. The graphics that I didn't create in that game I paid an artist to do so I own the right to reuse them. If you want to use anything there then you have my full permission.

Left it a bit late I think,  too much distraction going on with this virus.

I'll see what I can do in 4 weeks though.

Xerra, thanks for the generous offer, but as I understand it, the rules of the contest do not allow me to use the graphics from your game.

Rules: " Entrants may reuse any media from their previous entry but can not use any media from other entrants even if they have given permission."

In addition, I want to go towards rebooting and rethinking the game. Therefore, most likely only the essence of the game will remain, and the rest will change.

Like I said we have a month to go so best get my arse in gear from today.  Unfortunately I didn't get much time to work on the game, but I did get an exploding particle effect in, better than nothing I guess.  The particles radiate outwards and fade away.
