Conway's Game of Life COmmodore 64
« on: March 09, 2020, 01:01:04 AM »
Been trying to write COnway's Game of Life in assembly for the C64.  It is using an 80x50 cell grid.  Have almost everything working, but slowly.  Trying to optimize and get things sped up to something decent.  The .zip file includes a .prg file to run on a 64 or emulator.  it also contains the project files for CBM .prg Studio for anybody who would like to see what I have up til now.  Warning, code is a bit of a mess, as usual  ;D

Edit MAR 9,2020: Much improved the program.  Using about 10k of buffers, I was able to improve performance by quite a bit.

Putting the files on my itch.io page.  Link in OP.
Version 0.4 is much improved.  Now I have included a menu screen with key information.
