..status of Playniax framework for BMAX...

..some time ago, Playniax announced that his framework for BMAX will be free, and he stopped me and another fell(forgot name) to do purchase, because of that...now im wondering, does anyone knows what happened and what is status of mentioned framework?? Im not sure is playniax around here to clarify this..

Well, just looking at the member list, it doesn't look like he's here.
That and at the the time of "the exodus" he made it sound like he didn't care too much.
You can probably find him at the Monkey2 site somewhere.

I want to release it as open source. I am working on getting this ready but some things came up and it slowed me down. I will try to release it upcoming week!

I already released Ignition-x and Pyro for Monkey-x as open source. I am going to concentrate fully on Pyro 2 from now on!

..good to see ya here...thank you very much for efforts..i really hope to see that framework soon as im planing to continue work on the top of it, and it will be a sad to see it die, as its rather nice platform to be developed further, with NG..

I hit some speedbumps and IgnitionMax will be released a bit later as initially promissed :( Sorry for that!

I have not yet tried Playniax stuff, but try checking the download link above, I see Ignition-X for Blitzmax and Pyro for MX already available.

Oh I see, just noticed with the 'X' part. I also thought Ignition is only for Blitzmax.

Okay, so I finally got somewhere with it. I will now push to release it ASAP.
Main reason why it got delayed is because I was just drowning in work so much that there really wasn’t time in my schedule and I really wanted or actually needed to address some outdated stuff ( IgnitionMax wasn’t updated very much after I released Ignition X ). One of the issues I wanted to address was the Tile engine. At the time I thought I could do it all myself and write a simple tile editor but although usable for what I had in mind, it was very basic. Right now I am rewriting the tile engine with one that can read the data produced by the Pyro Tiled Converter ( https://playniax.itch.io/pyro-2-tiled-converter ). The IgnitionMax Tile engine is still very basic and only orthogonal tiles are supported but at least now you have a decent tile editor. I also want it to work on BlitzMax NG but that I may leave to the community if anyone wants to pick it up. For some reason it just doesn’t compile nicely on NG. I had a stripped version compiling but the GC made the whole thing crash. Anyway, I will round up the new tile stuff and clean up some code and release it to you all.

I do recommend to have a look at Monkey / Pyro 2 but that is probably not for everybody…
