Thought I'd try getting something done for the contest.  Doing #3: Option 3 : Puzzle / First Person Shooters (FPS)
I'm interpreting the shooting part of "first person shooter" a little loosely.  Instead of shooting bullets at an enemy, you'll be shooting basketballs at a target.  The puzzle part is trying to hit the target by figuring out how to use the surfaces, items, etc... to bounce the ball around obstacles.

This brief YouTube video of a very simple room shows partly what I am going for.

Oh shit, that's clever. Great idea and certainly covers both categories for me.

Good luck with this one as I want to play it.

It reminds me of Portal in a way :-)

I now have something of a level editor started.  Also created the vortex object.  It will grab the ball and shoot it out to a specific direction.
