WARNING - Amazon now charging early on pre-orders!
« on: May 11, 2019, 09:50:08 PM »
I've an Oculus Quest on Pre-Order from Amazon and today I see that they've charged me already for it :o. Say what?!?! pre-orders are supposed to be charged once the item ships!.

Amazon took £399 from my bank today and when I spoke to them they said it's a new policy from a couple of days ago that pre-orders are charged after 5 days now, despite their website stating that pre-orders will only be charged once the item ships.

So be careful guys and gals as Amazon now take money upfront on pre-orders. Keep this in mind, especially if the item is high in value and you're budget planning based on how their website says pre-orders work.
Mac mini ( 2018 / 2020 ), 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, 1TB NVMe, eGPU Radeon Pro 580 8 GB, LG Ultragear 27GL83A-B 27 Inch
Commodore VIC-20, 1.1Mhz MOS 6502 CPU, 5KB RAM, VIC ( 6560 ) GPU

Until the next time...
