Greetings syntax bombers...I have a question which I have no one else to ask?

Is it normal for people to ask people to go to the cinema?

I'm not sure.  The last time, apart from a few dates, I was asked to the cinema by a group of friends was 1995?

Is there anything unusual about that or is it pretty normal?

In my imagination a group of friends might ask someone to the cinema at least once or twice a year?

I´m more and more confused about your questions here... ;)

Yes it's perfectly normal for friends to arrange a cinema visit.
Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD,
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 32G DDR5 RAM 1T PCIe 4.0 SSD
MSI MEG 342C 34" QD-OLED Monitor

Until the next time.

If your friends are movie-fans you might even go to cinema more than once.

If you question is there to justify doing stuff with buddies: if you want to talk about movies you just saw then you might think of going to a bar / diner afterwards. Just for some chit chat / small talk.

Of course you should not invite others to the movies every week ... It should be done on a semi-regular interval...so others might have a chance to invite too.

Also an option is to talk about trailers..and if one of the goers wants to watch xyz...or why not. So you can arrange the next visit pretty quick.

dvd/bluray/stream is another option...

I think Matty is choosing a suitable venue for a date, perhaps?

Me and my better half often go to the cinema. As do me and my friends. Perfectly normal.
