Congrats to the winners.
Applause to the contestants.

@ holzchopf
better luck next time :-)

@ Morpheus
Please remember whom to thank for the uncoverage of the fake-winner-news :-) - your votes on the next compo will surely be appreciated.

May the next compo attract more users and have a more "suiting" (at least for me ;-)) genre mix.

So then... Congrats to all winners!

Feel for you! Your honesty was admirable! Hope you fair better next time  ;)

Congratulations to the other winners, and to all entries that made this a really tough competition to judge.

Wait. It's going to be genre mix again? If so, could we at least settle for ONE mix? While "there's something to pick for everyone" lead to many entries, which is good, I found the diversity made voting extremely hard ??? It was like having to judge over the entries for three compos at once

Well done to all involved.  Bringing all the elements together to get a game out in 8-10 weeks is tough going so clearly a lot of effort went into all the entries.

Unfortunately I only got the chance to play a few before voting deadline so had to abstain this time.  Now that England won't be winning the World Cup I can cancel my plans to elope to Okinawa to live out my life with the Japanese regiment still hiding there since 1945.  ;D  This will free up my time to play the rest of them!

I think the 3 options of mixed genre worked really well BUT maybe not for some who couldn't adapt an idea to fit.  Expanding that to allow each entrant to pick their own combination from 2 lists could make for more competition and more weird / wonderful  entries  :P

Are you planing on having a new comp Qube?

Derron

@ Holzchopf
Nah, no clue on what's the next compo will be about.

We do not need to rush from compo to compo - so as with the current one I think it is a good idea to have some weeks to "rest" and find ideas for a new compo.

Whether we get a new one or not - depends on Qube and his funding plans.

QuoteWait. It's going to be genre mix again?
It'll be a completely different comp.

QuoteAre you planing on having a new comp Qube?
There will be another :) - Not sure on the details yet. What I'll probably do is dream up a handful of different ones and members vote on the preferred one. The one with the most votes becomes the next comp.

Quoteso as with the current one I think it is a good idea to have some weeks to "rest" - Whether we get a new one or not - depends on Qube and his funding plans.
There will be another comp but I've a tonne of work to finish off before I can concentrate on organising a new one. So you can rest for at least a week :P

Congrats to the winners, was a good compo.

I have an idea, how about on the next competition everyone has to improve a game they submitted to a previous competition, or a game they showed off at some point. Judge by most improved.

Well I'm going to start improving mine anyways.

Congratulations!

Perhaps we should create a very attractive theme which can attract a lot of entries submitted from people.
If there will be over 20 entries in the next contest, the next contest will be a very exciting and gripping contest!

Congrats all! (again!  ;))

I'm happy for Triss to be second, it is a "fuller" game than Redshirts... even though Redshirts did get more votes overall (4v8)  :P

Been on holiday for the last week so only just caught up on the competition results. Well done to all involved - some very worthy winners. Especially pleased to see Triss do so well for a debutant in the competition.

Roll on the next competition - I'll try and get Ram finished before then so I can have another crack.
