Hi guys..how to replace, lets say, entire C drive on to brand new HD as current one is getting low in space, and then use brand new HD as a boot one, so all OS/programs and what not, is preserved and no need for fresh install??

When I transferred my Windows 10 bootcamp drive to a larger SSD I used https://www.acronis.com/en-gb/personal/computer-backup/

Worked flawlessly and meant in the end it was a simple drive swap with no reinstalling of anything \o/

Edit - I'm assuming you're on Windows? :P - If MacOS then the best one is SuperDuper which I've used for years for drive backups and transfers.

Pretty much every new drive I have bought in the last 10 years or so have come with a CD containing migration software to transfer your OS from old drive to new.  No need to buy additional software.

There's also the free version of Macrium Reflect

Free is good ;D - I do remember at one time a free version would not mirror to a drive bigger than the source drive. Not sure if it was this particular software or something else ( too long ago ).
