Hello, they are the winners?
:)    :D
Congratulations to Tiny Pixel Wars, Redshirt Fodder, PuzzPair and SacredLands!!!!!!
^-^
They should be quite excellent games!!!

Matty

Some very worthy winners.

They're good games, very good games.

Holzchopf

WOW :o Well thank you all who voted for me! Didn't expect that :o

I've managed to upload an updated mobile version of PuzzPair yesterday:
On Google Play

No bug fixes, only enhancements (hence the delayed release):
- It's now easier to hit falling stones
- Colours in HUD changed a bit
- There's now a help page accessible from the main menu when tapping the icon that nervously tries to get your attention

</advertising>

Now for part even uglier than my advertising above:  :'( What happened to the votes for Triss? I gave up my hope to land in the ranks when I saw a third vote placing him 1st and I think someone also put him 2nd - which would make, according to your formula, at least 350 points :-X Sorry for questioning your compo-leading authority (and also sorry for destroying my price winning ranking) :-\

iWasAdam

This was a hugely enjoyable outing. Both watching the development of the games and the end results.

Everyone who entered did a superb job. And thanks to all who took the time to play, comment and vote  :D

For myself: Thank-you all who voted for SacredLands. I learned loads and had fun on the journey. I am still open to any and all suggestions for improvement, etc...

I shall possibly do some form of post mortem. let me know bit you want to know more about?

@ winners (or maybe "new" winners) - and all other "competitors"
Surely Good job. As said not tested but nonetheless: good job, and congratulations for all participants for finishing something

It is interesting that nearly all votes for "complete/original" go to iWasAdam's game ... it just seems to lack hmm "easyness of playing". Maybe in next compo Adam should try some easier game controls (like with "SyntaxBomb" - which was nearly not needing any explanation on "how to play"). As "appearance" of the game seems to be satisfiying for most of us - it is just the game mechanics and/or controls needing some more work.

Congrats to all the winners, and indeed everybody that produced a game for the SB Comp.

I briefly got time to play them, and they all seemed to be of a very high standard.  I'll play them more when I get time.

Thanks for your honesty!   8)

I must admit I was a bit confused when I saw the result late last night, early this morning. I had a few too many sherbets last night watching the England game, so I thought it was a kind of drunken dream  ??? Also with it being my 1st entry I wasn't too sure how the voting was worked out.

I have to say I was impressed by all entries and the diversity of games from the 3 game styles.

If the prize tier gets changed or not I feel pleased that my entry got some votes.

I still have some more plans to "enhance" Triss, I have added a drag the coloured squares feature most have requested, I am also tweaking the game speed and will upload a new version once I have tested it all. I will keep you all posted.

Already looking forward to the next competition  ;D

@Qube
Here's a new png with no placement - for when there are winners who don't conform to 1/2/3 places...

round157

Hi, I am in confusion. Is there a mistake in the results of the contest?

Hi, three winners used Monkey2 or Monkey2 variance to program their entries.

This phenomenon shows that Monkey2 family is a powerful language family in game programming.

The same as Qube before he posted..? How do you mean that? I'm not near 300 points  ::)

@ therevills:
Your sheet says:
800 - Tiny Pixel Wars
350 - Redshirt Fodder
175 - Puzz Pair
350 - Triss
125 - Bug Hunter
100 - Sacred Lands
100 - A Knights War
275 - Tower Swap

Leading to:
1. Tiny Pixel Wars
2. Redshirt Fodder & Triss (with Triss getting 3 1st-votes and Redshirt Fodder 1 1st-vote)

4. Tower Swap
5. Puzz Pair
6. Bug Hunter
7. Sacred Lands & A Knights War

Qube has this:

See the difference on rank 3?

@ same score for rank 2
There are multiple options:
- votes for rank 1 are weighted heavier than rank 2 ... and so on (so Triss would win here)
- amount of votes weights heavier ("at least people enjoy it") (so Redshirt Fodder would win here)
- sum up the price pot for the "covered ranks" (here 2 and 3) and divide by the amount of covered ranks (so 150+100=250, both would get 125 bucks)

think 3rd one is the best option.
