Rooster

I've been working on this over the past few days, I haven't done much really.
I have never made a editor before, or a tile system. So a lot of stumbling around was involved. :))

It's really simple, but I'm proud of how I made the editor and game use the same core of code via Include.

Now I need to figure out MaxGui so that it's more workable.

Rooster

Never mind the bit about using MaxGui.
I have been reminded why I haven't use it before.  ???

Hi, Rooster,

The screenshot makes me curious. What type of game is your entry? Thanks.

Rooster

I was going for the arcade/open world category.
The screen shot is just the editor with some place holder tiles loaded.

Hi,

Arcade/open world category, it is a good choice...yes.

I believe that it will be a nice BlitzMax NG game.

I certainly hope so.

Rooster

Well I've decided on a name, Mesozoic Outbreak.

I just finished getting map collisions going, and before that player placement on the map.

I'm starting to think this is all going to be me puzzling stuff out like an idiot for 8 weeks. :P

Rooster

Got the player character all animated now.

Should be clear to start working on the dinos. ;D

Rooster

Due to various things detracting me I've lost my inspiration for this game.
I'm just popping in to say I won't be working on it any more.

therevills

That's a shame Mr Rooster, I really liked the look of your characters!

Rooster

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't done much programing so I've been out of the loop for the past few months. :-[

@therevills Thank you. :D

@Xerra I sort of got to adding a dino, but the way I set up the grid system and the editor made it too difficult to work on.
