Blitz Sample Project / MD2 models and FPS Example
« on: April 30, 2018, 12:58:25 AM »
I cannot find in my sample folder a demo I tried a long time ago. I tried installing Blitz again and its not there. It was a simple FPS demo that showcased the use of MD2 models within a small map. You started in a room and walked up a stair case into a larger room with a pool in the middle. I remember the lighting and textures were top notch.

What I remember most about it is watching the behavior of the meshes in wireframe mode. The meshes were doing a form of tessellation which I believe is specific to how the MD2 model format works. Can anyone shed some light on what is happening in this example project? Or even better tell me the name of it so I can attempt to locate it again?  ;D

I think you are looking for the example named Cubewater, download it from the link below.

T.ED Terrain Editor V6.7

Hi everyone!..
I've been messing around a lot with heightmaps etc, and was thrilled to download and install T.ED Terrain Editor V 6.7 ..it works really well for Blitz3d!!.. BUT... I can't save. The program wants to be registered, which is fair enough however I can't for the life of me find WHERE to go to do so. It looks like all the links are dead now for this software. So I was wondering if (an I don't know if I can even ask this here)... is there a password to activate this software somewhere that some knows about?... OR is there a better program to edit landscape with.. I tried FLE (Free Landscape Editor)..and really like it to, but I can't add in trees/buildings with it. I am more than happy to pay for T.ED if there is a link that works for it.
Cheers.  :)

I have a early version of Vista Pro which I think can do what you ask. Last time I checked they are still around and comparable to TED.
