WARNING - Amazon now charging early on pre-orders!

I've an Oculus Quest on Pre-Order from Amazon and today I see that they've charged me already for it . Say what?!?! pre-orders are supposed to be charged once the item ships!.

Amazon took £399 from my bank today and when I spoke to them they said it's a new policy from a couple of days ago that pre-orders are charged after 5 days now, despite their website stating that pre-orders will only be charged once the item ships.

So be careful guys and gals as Amazon now take money upfront on pre-orders. Keep this in mind, especially if the item is high in value and you're budget planning based on how their website says pre-orders work.
