That's it. I'm done!
I present to you:
https://adamstrange.itch.io/syntaxbomb

Full on Retro action in 320x200 16 colors with chip-synth emulation for Windows and Mac OS.

Guide little Syntax round each level but DO NOT hit that BOMB!

Just resize the window to whatever size (fullscreen too) you require...

I am looking forward to playing this, but I got an encryption error when trying to unZIP it.

So, needless to say, it would not work.

iWasAdam

Thanks for that one.
Just downloaded the windows version, unzipped, transferred and played first time.

I would possibly suggest re-downloading??

Hello,

My comments on the game:

"The procedure entry point CancelIOEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" is shown in a message box. Therefore, this game cannot start.
:(

Nice game.

Works on both Windows and OSX High Sierra.

I did try again and got the same thing.

I even used a different extractor the second time. (Windows, then 7zip)

It is strange, because the Van Turismo from that site downloaded fine, but yours has 2 folders and will not extract.

It gives an error saying that the folder cannot be encrypted, and if I skip or say Yes to not encrypt then it does not work.

It may be my video download helper that is taking over the download and screwing it up, because it auto activates on a page that has videos. Your download page has them, and his does not. That is the only thing I can see that is different about the download pages. I will try to work around that and see what happens.

Hi,
Windows XP (32-bit) was installed on my computer.

TomToad

Game works fine for me.  Really nice entry.  Got to the fourth level.  Nice cylinder effect.

I pretty sure Adam used Monkey2 which creates exe that are not compatible with Windows XP... XP is dead and very insecure you guys really should upgrade for your own safety!

After the deadline, I'm going to download all the games for the compo and give them a good going over!

Windows 7

Works well on my Windows 10 machine.

Nice clean classic retro game!  :)

Nit picking:
* Is the screen meant to shake? If so I dont feel it added anything to the game and looks like a bug
* The parallax scrolling looks wrong
* Not keen on the rotation levels
