Visual scripting IDE
« on: December 29, 2017, 12:10:47 AM »
Even with the abandonment of Blitz3d by Mr. Sibly, it is still popular on these boards.

Therefore, I am asking if anyone here would be interested in a visual scripting or node based interface similar to what the Unreal engine uses for B3d programming.

My C++ skills are questionable, but I think I could do a pretty good job, but it will take time in my spare time.  I plan to use the Embarcadero's RAD C++ Builder IDE.

for financial support, should I use YouTube/Patreon videos, a Kickstarter or indiegogo campaign, or just release it on GitHub.
Prepare to be assimilated !  Resistance is futile!

Hey bsisko, sounds cool, but based on history or at least talks on the old forums, I think the B3D folks are looking for more of a graphics renderer upgrade (see Hardwired), still it would be interesting to see what you will be coming up with.
