Always looking for good "fitting" music for my game tvtower (www.tvtower.org). As it is a tribute to the game "Mad TV", sounds should be similar.

Your music (the one you linked) is more "racer"-games or maybe sci-fi-arcade-games like. If you are interested in doing some "retro stuff" (as in the tracker/amiga-times) I would gladly listen to some stuff.

I am talking about this kind of music (the intro of the game "Mad TV")

(sorry, do not know how to size the video-frame down - maybe Qube can edit it)

Also in this video (a bit "gameplay") you have this "non-annoying" and rather "dull/boring/non-variation-full" background music when the player walks in the building (special music is there if he visits certain rooms). This kind of "music" is also something rarely done - but of course needed as it does not annoy that much as "good" music - but music which repeats itself a dozen times during 2 hours of game play (because only 10 tracks are provided with the game - to keep download at a useful level).

Nowerdays many people share their music with the world - a good thing - a pity more often electronic/dance etc are done - and not "game typical" music we indie coders like to have (so no "orchestral"-AAA-game-title-music).

So I don't do "trackers", so if you're after a tracker file that's sub 100k for a project I'm afraid I can't do it, anything I supplied would be wav / mp3 / ogg... A full on audio file.

So I don't do 'chip choons' per se, but I can certainly do emulation of it, usually with a bit of a more contemporary twist. For example, I did a cover of the C64 Sanxion Loader by Rob Hubbard...

But there's also plenty of down tempo tracks too... for example:

And even a bit orchestral / ambient and spacy too

So yeah... If there's something you have in mind, and a mostly finished project, then give me a shout... I'm pretty versatile!

I've got 52 tracks on my soundcloud page, some are remixes or covers so they don't really count, and probably got another 200 or so original tracks as WIPs ready to turn into something else when inspiration hits or is smacked around my face!

How are remixes handled in regard to trademark/copyright? Can music be remixed so much too a point does that it becomes your own material and merely inspired by the original work? Just curious.

RobFarley

Well, all the remixes I've done are not signed bands so I could probably ask them politely and they'd probably be cool with it, dunno really... My remixes are usually pretty far departed from the originals anyway it's not like I've just swapped out a couple of sounds here and there. Probably depends how much I was getting paid and how much they deserve of that... Like anything, just needs a conversation... probably.

The remakes / covers I've done, Blade Runner, Terminator Theme and Sanxion clearly couldn't be used in any way as these are clearly copyright to someone somewhere!
