Video to CBX

Hi all,
I am wondering how would you go about showing parts of videos in a CBX game?
Say I have a video:
https://videohive.net/item/dancer/18894881?s_rank=3
parts of which I wanna show in a game.
I remember back in the good old PC XT days we had dancing girls (and other stuff you don't wanna mention in the public forum) on b/w monitors taking less than a floppy (512kb).
Is it a matter of converting to b/w, then decreasing resolution and then using some sort of compressing?

I know of one compression where you simply look for the same data and do a xtimes data.
If you have one color then this would be effecient i think. There are probably a lot more compression types that are better then that.
