Even with firewall turned off on W10, there's some security issue preventing a W10 laptop remote desktop logging into W7, an older W 7 laptop can remote desktop login fine. Anyone aware of W10 hiccups of this nature not related to firewall.?

I believe only the Pro and Enterprise versions of Windows 10 will allow remote desktop access out of the box. You would have to do a Google search on how to do it with the Home edition.

If you type remote settings allow into the task bar you are presented with an option to allow remote computers access to your W10 box. Thank you for the feedback Dawlane.
