Thanks guys. I don't think I've ever won anything before, well I won ten pounds on the lotto once! I don't gamble on the slot machines either as I never could figure out how the darn things work!

Beat ya! - I won £25 on the lotto this Saturday, bought an online scratch card and and won another £25. Practically rolling in the cash I am :P - But super congrats for the effort you've put into your posts helping to build up these forums.

Coming next... After this months £250 Asteroids type game compo there will be a three month based £500 game coding compo. It's gonna be freaky deaky :D
Until the next time...

Me neither.
I would put 20p ( hey it was a long time ago  :P ) into a slot machine for 5 seconds of entertainment, or put 20p into the Tron arcade game next to it for 10mins entertainment... I never got into the slot machines thanks to Tron  8)

Well I did win £50 on Saturday night between the lottery and an online scratch card 8) - The most I've ever won on the lottery was £500 on Christmas Eve ( online lottery game ). I'm still fingers crossed for a super duper mega win.
Until the next time...

(...) there will be a three month based £500 game coding compo.

Dear Qube,
If you're going to increase the period for developing projects, I'd like to suggest having 1st, 2nd and 3rd places all with cash prizes. You can spread the £500 in a 3 : 2 : 1 proportion if necessary for £250, £167 and £83 tiers.

This would increase everyone's chances of winning something, so there would probably be more participants signing in as well.

How about, 220, 150 and 70 as the main 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes - and if the lucky peeps are brave enough to release their code into the wild, then they secure an extra 30, 17 and a lucky 13 quid extra for third?

Will definitely be going for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the three month comp. Not sure on the winnings scale yet but I like the ideas :)
