On Mac I use the excellent Cheetah3D and currently looking for something similar for Windows 10. I don't mind free or paid for options. Of course I also don't want to pay silly money as I don't ever plan ( or can ) on generating super AAA stuff.

Derron, yes I know about Blender and will give that a try :))

If you are unfamiliar with Cheetah3D then take a quick look on YouTube so you can see the kind of style and simplicity my little brain needs ;D

Suggestions? :)
Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD,
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 32G DDR5 RAM 1T PCIe 4.0 SSD
MSI MEG 342C 34" QD-OLED Monitor

Until the next time.

I would suggest Blender also as it really is very good once you know how to get it to do the things you want . I can build a model , export a uv map and animate my creations . That's all I really need to know but it does more I'm sure of that . First class bit of kit . I used to use wings3D but It could not do animation so outgrew it .
HP 15s i3 1.2 upto 3.4 ghz 128 gb ssd 16 gb ram 15.6 inch screen. Windows 11 home edition .  2Tb external hard drive dedicated to Linux Mint .
  PureBasic 6 and AppGameKit studio
ASUS Vivo book 15 16gb ram 256gb storage  cpu upto 4.1 ghz

Well, yes besides Blender... maybe Hexagon might be up your alley.

That was the first modelling app that I was comfortable with. Not sure if it is developed anymore, but it is available.
Ahh thanks, forgot all about Hexagon. I remember that from years ago but it was something I never used. I agree that it doesn't look like it's still in active development but that doesn't mean it just stops working ;D

I'll give it a whirl along with Blender to see which suits the best, thanks.

I was interested in Modo but once I saw the £1500 price tag I've never closed down a browser tab so fast in my life :P

Is Silo in active development again? I remember that they had stopped for a long time working on it.

There's also nVill by DigitalFossil. It's pretty cool.

Is TrueSpace or its sibling GameSpace still around?
Prepare to be assimilated !  Resistance is futile!

That looks pretty intuitive, thanks. Will have a nosey at some ooTube videos.

Yeah there is still a community hacking around with Caligari TrueSpace. For me though it died the day Microsoft bought it and sub sequentially dumped it for free with no further updates. Don't know if they were just after some tech or patents, who knows. These days though TrueSpace is really showing it's age with the modeller.
