Hi guys,

I just learned about that script language, maybe it is there since a while but I did'nt know.
A while ago, I thought about Unreal as a possible devellopment tool, but the lack of scripting annoyed me.

This seems about to change with that Skookum language and if it can work with 2D features (I'm 2D only :)), I may take a serious look at it.

What do you think about it ?

Thanks for the pointer, script feels nice and the tcip easy to follow. Trouble lies with Unreal 4.16 and no backwards compatibility. (I still try to support snow leopard, vista, xp etc). Anyway always nice to mess around with new IDE's, have fun cps.

Using Unreal for just 2D sounds a bit like overkill... The engine is over 8 GB.
Are you sure there isn't something lighter for you to use, like Love2D or OpenFL? (Or AGK or Gamemaker pro etc.)

Unreal is also not 'cheap' (5% of incomes for commercial use), so yes hopefully there are other alternatives.

Skookum is the name of a Native American Indian tribe....here in the Northwest and Alaska region of the United States....

from wikipedia:
"Skookum is a Chinook Jargon word that has historical use in the Pacific Northwest. It has a range of meanings, commonly associated with an English translation of "strong" or "monstrous". The word can mean "strong", "greatest", "powerful", "ultimate", or "brave"
