It's free now. I bought this a very long time ago. It's nice to see it available for free now. It is a very capable pixel editor and animator. Think of it as MS Paint but with awesomeness added.

I've been using the demo version for awhile now. Kind of wish I had bought the full version to support the creators now.

That's why I bought it. Out of all the Pixel Animators/Editors graphicsgale was easy to use and didn't burn my wallet. Very, very capable, pixel editor.

I paid for the full version years ago and a handful of months ago I found out it was free. Initially thought it had switched to an ad-supported version, but no, the creator is just giving it out for free. They actually seem to be developing it more actively since making it free, which is boggling my mind...

For some reason I could never get into Graphics Gale, tried a few times... then I found Pyxel Edit and never looked back

I bought the paid version just this past year.  A couple of months before they made it free I guess.  Always glad to support good dev tools.
