Color Maximite 2 computer - $100  programed with BASIC...  ( arm based cpu )

Hello, I have the earlier version "Color Maximite" single board computer (from 2012)...fun to program in mostly generic Basic..800 by 600 VGA output, 8 colors. Memory SD as storage....

Now the latest version is coming out--Color Maximite 2.....  1024 by 768 VGA, 65,000 plus colors, Basic language operating system... (Just announced a demo upgrade with 3D basic programing!!  Support for WAV, "MOD" sounds, super fast graphics blits, sprites etc... 

Made in various countries- UK, Australia, Ger., US ..seems like it also has Rasp PI type lo cost programmable modules as add-ons....  nearly all local versions are approx. $100 (US or Euro).

I bought the first one, nice little thing, I never done much with it though, just... Had a play!

Anyway, nice to see the original spurred a sequel, I could be tempted! hehehe

Yeah looks a fun little system.  I'm a fan of these simple computer systems that allow you to completely understand the hardware and code freely without fighting an overly complex Operating System and libraries.  I considered it but when the 2nd kickstarter for the ZX Spectrum Next came I went for that instead.

Unfortunatly the ZX NEXT dosent make things simple by any means! Its buy my FPGA Spectrum and Buy my games PLEASE! Enterprise

However they should of used the PI hardware to create the progrmming IDE enviroment. Loading your Program into the NEXT FPGA! Programming on it with 32 by 24 is sort off difficult these days. And the 128K programming enviroment wasn't nice coming from the 48K version

You can code assembly language using Microsoft's Visual Studio Code IDE and an emulator (CSpect) for the ZX Spectrum Next.  Then when you've completed your project put it on your Next.
