I love my Amstrad (6128), in the man cave upstairs, it's got pride and place next to me on the desk for them quick 8-bit gaming hits! :)

It's paired up with Dukes amazing M4 Wifi expansion, so it's networked with my PC (via the browser), with the SD card in, all the ROMS you can shake a stick at, and, DOS type filesystem, emulated ROMbox... And, one can even get on the internet with it... Obviously limited in that set up, just your old worldy bullentin boards really, but I love the "War Games" type feel of being "out there" in that way! :)

DO YOU WANT TO PLAY A GAME?

teehehehe

I love my 6128.
Last year we downsized to a bungalow, and as much as it pained me to come to such a conclusion, I just knew there was no realistic place to fit that giant CRT any more.

I'd heard through the grapevine that Devlin/MagicBane of the CPC discord had been hunting for a 6128 for a number of years.  He had one as a child, and though he was now an avid CPC collector, he could never quite get his hands on a 6128.   He was local "enough" that it seemed like he'd be the sort of owner who'd look after it and treasure it, and ..
He came and took it away from me, last June.  I do miss it sometimes.  But I have my emulators.  *cries*

Are they emulators you've written?

Nah, emulators is something I haven't dared tackle yet.  Maybe.... *slaps self for even considering giving himself even more to do*

My favourite emulator was on the DS, where the bottom screen was used as a keyboard.  That is DEFINITELY the best way to do things portably!
I wonder if there's a 3DS one?..  Might have to check into that.

What Emulators do you like and would you have wishes to make them better ::)

Currently my CPC'ing is done using Retro Virtual Machine, which runs delightfully well, and can handle a nice set of different systems, and even has an online version.

Does it do proper full screen with no pixel distortion?

It's got a number of options for screen filters.  Give it a go.
