Hey Qubey...

That's what you want to see in regards to a retro make up when it comes to the micros/consoles, none of that shrunk down cack which pretty much makes them an ornament really, granted a usable ornament, but, they instantly lose their shine in the "retro" feel, there was just something about using 80's keyboards or buttons that made micros feel special, or the click of switches, inserting disks/tapes, how they felt when using them is equally important if you ask me.

If they ever make a Amstrad CPC one, and it doesnt come with a green screen monitor with coily pig tail connectors... I'll go me chuffing ends! :D :D :D

I have a TI-99/4A but haven't repaired it yet. It's another one id like to have ago at emulating :-X. Wish they did an amiga 600 capable of running a500 to a1200 stuff excelerated.

I remember a thread some years ago where some one chopped an a1200 and fitted it into an a600.

I love the minaturised stuff but for fook sake! Make the keyboards work!  :o

I think all these retro full sized machines are so good, what idiot decided to miniaturise them with dumbed down features, I think they asume we just want to play the games, its got to be non hobbiests that decide, because I want Basic and ASM features, I want to play with it and dev for them not just play a game, i like buying the books and watching youtube on how to dev them, i like the same features as the original, but extras are ok like the Next

Because first of all some people just want to play the games without hassles on older systems (casual nostalgic user). They don't require a full-sized version with a working keyboard which comes with the size and cost implications.  And secondly this is how Retro Games make enough money to invest in making a full sized version after. The smaller amount of users are like us that do have more interest those things, but without casual users they wouldn't have the money for an even more niche product.

LOL! :))

I think minaturised to a decent size that's usable. I wouldn't want the Rubber keyed spectrum any smaller though!

The dumbed down features are such a big shame! As most of us i think would like the old retro programming use for creating games. but with modern twist's for speed etc!

I still think being able to write a game in Zx Spectrum basic or C64 Basic would be such fun! If it ran at a machine code equivalent Speeds!

Im starting to learn STM32 to hopefully achieve this in the near future :-X

I'm on the "no fucking way" list. I got the C64 mini and max size. The Vic 20 max size was also a no-brainer, and I was always going to get the A500.

I ignored the Atari 400, and I'm definitely ignoring this one. I don't think my Commodore/Sinclair bias will ever die. I used a Spectrum for a few days when a mates brother lent me one. Couldn't stick it.

Hard pass.

I cancelled my order because I already have several Spectrum Nexts and a 48K Spectrum (with a SD Card interface for loading/saving).

So I have no real need for it personally, but others might. And actually my Spectrum Next Magazine dropped through the letterbox this morning.

I think I might just buy the full sized Amiga one when it arrives. I bought the Amiga Mini but don't use it now since I have a real Amiga 500. I'll do this because I currently have a problem with the internal drive and need to hook-up a Gotek drive. There is always potential maintenance problems with old tech and so a modern Amiga Max emulator box would be more convienent if the Amiga is down.

Well. I'm in.   Still holding out on a spectrum next as well.
BTW,  here is my official vote for a full size  Amiga, an atari 800 or 1200, and  Atari  st, or (ha-ha-ha) Atari Falcon.
Prepare to be assimilated !  Resistance is futile!

Xerra

I'd prefer an actual A1200 size Amiga, when they do the full size variant, but they'll probably adopt the A600 size but it will be a retro A1200 inside. The A500 was way too big of a beast to be practical now, so I think that's definitely out of the window.

Whatever it is, I'm in. I loved my Vic20, my C64, and all the Amiga's I ever ended up owning. Take my money.
