Looks like some enterprising individual going by the store retrobro.co.uk, is trying their luck with flogging a USB with abandon ware software for the release of theSpectrum over on Amazon UK.
They are also doing this for a few other retro systems. Reminds me of when the retro games craze started back in the late nineties, or was it the early two thousands. And a CD was released that was on sale at a few well known UK stores, with around a thousand ZX Spectrum games on it. It was soon withdrawn, due to the fact that a lot of copyright owners were not too happy about it. There were a few complaints from those that bought the CD as well, with it being stuff that could be downloaded from certain sites at the time, plus a lot of the archives of the CD were corrupt.

I think I'll stick to buying my own USB stick and using or buying my own games.

What should be inside the box. You have to wait right to the end.

Not that I didn't have some fun back in the day coding Battleships in ZXBasic, but those 'ships' sailed a while ago :)

I wonder if my soon to be new toy ordered from Amazon order will turn up today? But knowing Amazon, it will be some completely random day where nobody is in.

You are going to have a long wait. Just received an email to say that my order will be any time between December 4th to January 4th next year.
Amazon are going to have to get the act together. Some people cannot just rearrange their lives around Amazons delivery dates. Had the same thing with the last order I had, stated a date and then delivered the bloody items the day before. Luckily it was just before 6pm, and I just happened to have got back in.

Think I'll cancel it and go to Smyths Toy. My local store has 7 of these in.

EDIT: Remind me never to get anything from Amazon ever again. As I ordered this with a bunch of other stuff. I cannot cancel the bloody thing. Say contact customer service, but the links take you round in circles.

That's why I now get my Amazon deliveries delivered to my local Post Office. I can collect when it's convienient to me then.

When you order you can select from several local Post Office/Pickup points.

I thought we were going to be moving away from this sort of stuff. When there are updates after updates people lose track of things. Rushed into production! Just look at the Nexty it's a mind field of updates and bugs! However you can recover from a bad flash. They obviously experienced this themselves. I was one of the first backers.

When it first came out there were HDMI problems, Keyboard problems just to name a few.

I loved the old stuff. There's your computer Bugs and all and it stayed that way. That's how people learnt to program it and exploit it's quirks. Just look at some of the Demo's and exploits being done on the C64 now!
